Pelleting is a process to which vegetable matrices of all kinds are subjected in order to compact them into small cylinders measuring approximately 6 mm in diameter and 10 mm long.
This processing technique is commonly used for the production of animal feed, but can also be used for the production of food for human consumption. Pelleting offers several advantages, including improved shelf life of food and easier transport and storage.
