Working with plant matrices
There are an enormous number of plant matrices in nature. The bioproducts that nature places at our disposal can be processed in a variety of ways (micronised, microgranulated, granulated, pelleted, atomised, with low or high density, fast or slow biodegradability) to suit customer specifications.
Areas of application: food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals
Plant matrices can be sources of antioxidants (resveratrol, lycopene, etc.), fibres or bases for plant extracts.
In cosmetics, plant matrices are used to extract and concentrate the active ingredients of plants. These plant extracts are then used in the formulation of cosmetics such as creams, lotions, serums and face masks.
In the pharmaceuticals field, on the other hand, they are used to develop innovative forms of dosage, improve drug absorption, reduce side effects and optimise the therapeutic efficiency of active ingredients.
