Green clay
Clay is one of the oldest substances used by man. Our green clay is of domestic, marine origin and contains a wide variety of mineral elements, such as silica, alumina, iron sesquioxide, lime, magnesium, alkaline oxides and numerous trace elements.
It is extracted from the soil at a fair depth and is extremely pure. It has a remarkable capacity for cation exchange due to its remarkable fineness and is therefore very active in releasing and absorbing substances into the tissues with which it comes into contact: it is used for poultices, mud baths, beauty creams, hyperaemic mud treatments and soaps.

Composition and consistency
The consistency of green clay can vary depending on the type of clay and how it is prepared. In general, green clay is a fine, porous powder that can vary in colour from green to grey. When mixed with water and other liquids, green clay becomes a smooth, homogeneous paste that can be applied to the skin or hair. Depending on the amount of liquid added, the paste can be thicker or thinner and easier to spread.
Areas of application: pharmaceuticals and spas
Green clay has several applications in the pharmaceuticals sector, thanks to its absorbent characteristics and its capacity for exchange with tissues. It is widely used in poultices and masks.
In the spa sector, Agrindustria’s clay interacts with the site's trace mineral waters. In this way, the clay acquires additional properties, which are beneficial to the user.
Areas of application: cosmetics
Green clay is a widely used ingredient in cosmetics due to its purifying and soothing properties. The main uses of this natural material in cosmetics are skin treatments, hair treatments and body cleansing. Its very high absorption capacity makes it particularly useful for removing excess sebum and impurities.
