Product description
Dietary fibres play an important role in the food industry, both for their health benefits and their functional properties. Dietary fibres are the indigestible part of plants, such as cellulose, hemicellulose, pectins, gums and mucilage, which benefit the digestive system and the body in general.
Fibre can be obtained from various plants such as corn, soya, hazelnut, beetroot, etc.
Processing dietary fibres
Our dietary fibres are milled to the size required by the customer and heat-treated to add fibre to various industrial food formulations.
The end product of the process is a filler which adds fibre, of varying types and percentages, for various applications; it can also be used as an anti-binding agent (fluidifier) and as an absorbent.
Area of application: food
Dietary fibres can improve the structure, texture and stability of foods. They can be used as thickening agents, stabilisers or emulsifiers, enabling the creation of products with higher moisture retention and improved shelf life.
